Day 11: What are you wrestling with?

Hello Love,

Today we wrestle with the story of Jacob.
Jacob was born a twin and was born holding the heel of his older twin Esau. Esau was the favorite of his father while Jacob was favored by his mother.
Jacob also tricked Esau into giving him his birthright over a pot of stew. Then the day came that their father was to give the blessing of the first born.
Listening to his mother, yet again, Jacob tricked his way into stealing Esau’s blessing. This left a grudge in Esau’s heart, and he later planned on killing his brother Jacob because of this.

How many of you have made mistakes?

Deep mistakes that you may feel God can never forgive, or the ones whom you wronged, how can you be seen favorably in their eyes?

I want you to know that there is no sin, nor mistake that can withhold you from the love of God that is available to you.

Jacob, after hearing the news that his brother was going to kill him, fled. He left Beersheba and set out for Harran. There he had a dream where God spoke to him.

I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15

When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”

I want you to take notice how despite Jacob’s shortcomings GOD still blessed him. God still promised to be there for him.

Also, notice what Jacob thought:

“the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”

How many times do we get sidetracked by our own troubles or stresses and are not aware of those God moments?

The moments that are good, filled with love.

I want to challenge you today. To change your perspective. I want you to take notice of your thoughts these remaining days and keep track of what you’re thinking. Start writing within your journal about the worries you have each day and challenge them with the God moments, the moments that God confirms to you that He is with you. The good moments you had within your days.

Using the Hashtag #30DaysofGraceChallenge write down what is stressing you today, and also write the Good things that happened today that perhaps you weren’t completely aware of.
Start training your mind to reflect on those God moments and hold them higher than those stresses. Because love, life is too short for you to be overcome by worries that may not even happen. Look at today and meditate on all the good things of this day. Whether it was that peaceful moment with a cup of coffee or the ability to walk today, regardless of what you consider to be “good” things, understand that God is with you in each moment, you just have to look and take notice.
