2014 Was such an AMAZING Year for me, that it just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t do a 2014 Highlights Recap of the year! Of course I couldn’t put everything I was extactic about but I did hone it down to the items that were, well HIGHLIGHTS!

Here I did my first ever, in my opinion, Fashion Post March 11th and my first ever post as Linda Mendible on the 10th of March! I was soooo excited about this new direction I was heading in and it really was a time I felt like ME for the first time!

My First Art Exhibit!
March 2014 was an amazing month for me, 2 years before March 2014, while I was living in Holly Springs, NC I visited the local library and set up a date with the Holly Springs Cultural center located at their Library, to showcase some of my Art Work. Little did I know my name would appear in the paper! An amazing part to that story is, My Hubby’s boss saw my name in the papers and my hubby came home with the Newspaper that had my name on it! How cool is that!

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them–yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10
I’m sitting here at my desk reflecting on this verse. I came into this New Year in a blogger “Funk” I wasn’t motivated, although opportunities definitely were coming my way, I just didn’t know where to go, and I was asking myself “How have I done all that I have done.” I truly believe in these moments of being ‘uninspired’ it’s important to keep taking one step in front of the other. I learned this because I recently dedicated myself to running. I’m one of those people who loves running. When I’m running, and I come to the place where my legs and body hurt to the point I want to stop, I just tell myself, just put one foot in front of the other. That’s what I just started doing. I had a ton of work to do, although I felt the way I felt I didn’t allow those feelings to dictate what I can do.
Then, one day as I decided to block off some time during my free time with God, I came on to this verse.
Many women have asked me “how do you do it”. The truth is, I don’t. Seriously, when ever I get in the “flesh” Christian term for doing things out of feeling or earthly desires I just can’t do anything. So I always ask God, or the Spirit. “Lord, please reveal (what ever it is I need at the time).
I also love the verse where God says “my Grace is Sufficient for you”. It’s so true and now I know where everything should come from.
I’ve noticed, you need to look deeply within the realms of your heart and ask yourself the tough questions, not judging yourself but really asking yourself.
Why do I want….. or Why do I want to do….
I want the truest version of myself and I know that comes from who I am in Christ.
What do you do in those moments when you feel “uninspired”? What advice would you give?
