Day 20: Fruits of the Spirit
Today, we are switching things up. I want to talk to you personally about your heart.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
I want to encourage you on your journey thus far and congratulate you for participating these last 20 days on this challenge. We have 10 more days to go! Are you excited!?
On this journey of fulfilling your calling, God is going to allow certain things to enter your life. These things may seem as though you are not heading in the right direction, that perhaps you are making a mistake or that the road is impossible. These moments and events are there to guide you.
On this journey you will experience:
Where God is conditioning you towards Love
Where God wants to work out Joy
Where God wants to instill Peace
Where God wants you to experience Patience
Where God wants you to exude Kindness
Where God wants to evoke Faithfulness
“ You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Matthew 7:16-20
Who are you in God’s kingdom? What fruit do you bear?
We live in a results centered world. Fast food, Fast social interactions. The world can fool you into thinking that only the outcome matters and not your steps towards that outcome. The world can fool you into thinking that it’s about results and never the consequences.
Today I want to encourage you Love, that you are here to bear fruit for the kingdom. You are here to help others towards knowing the fruits of the spirit. But how can they know the fruits of your endeavors if you are not willing to temper the spirit of your heart?
