Day 29: Persistence

Hello Love,

These last 29 Days have gone faster than I realized. As we’re winding down I want to tell you about a story Jesus told.
Jesus told this particular parable so that his disciples would always pray and never give up. He talked about a judge in a town who didn’t care about what people thought or the things of God. Then there was this widow, they call her the Persistent Widow.
She kept going to the Judge asking for justice. And even though this particular Judge didn’t really care about the thoughts of people or God, but because she kept on asking and was persistent he decided to help the widow to get the justice she was asking for.
Then Jesus said,

‘Imagine, that this was done by an unjust judge. Imagine what God can do for His chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?’ Luke 18:1-8

This story is so powerful and sometimes overlooked. Some say we should only come to God one time and that’s it, or that God heard you the first time, why bother repeating yourself. But in this story, Jesus says to not give up and to always pray.

God wants to do amazing things in your life, through you and for you.

Are you willing to Ask, Believe and Receive?

This story reminds me of the woman with the issue of blood. She was a persistent woman wanting and believing for her blessing. Although in her story she suffered and was bleeding for 12 years, she had spent all that she had on doctors and the issue was getting worse. Then she heard about Jesus.

Do you know Him?

She pursued him and said to herself, “If I just touch the hem of his garments, then I will be healed.”

Do you know Him?

Through her faith, her knowledge of Him, she reaches out for her blessing.

Are you willing to reach for yours?

Then, as Jesus was looking for the one who touched his garment, the woman fell at his feet and told him the whole truth.

Jesus then says,

“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:21-43

Love, do you know Him and the power He’s given you. That’s available to you?

Notice Jesus didn’t say it was by His faith she was healed. He said by your Faith you are healed.
