HELLO, LOVE!
This week I Speak With Kelli, The Grief Guru. Over the years, she has helped families who’ve lost loved ones turn their pain into purpose, just as she did in her own life. After losing her mother to suicide in 2017, she was deep in the throes of grief and could barely get through the day and get out of bed. When she tried to find help, she couldn’t find the support and tools she needed, so was forced to deal with it on her own. Just as she was recovering from the loss of her mother, a year later, she was faced with the worst loss for a parent – the loss of her 20-year old son, Quintin, who died of an accidental drug overdose. Join me on this episode as she discusses her healing process from tremendous losses, and how she was able to navigate through the hard times and use her pain to help others. A few noteworthy sections that we will be discussing on the show: Grief is part of our journey in Life. We can feel so helpless in the face of Grief The deeper the Grief, the closer God is! No matter how broken your heart is, the world doesn’t stop for your Grief.
Kelli Nielsen, The Founder of the Grief Guru didn’t grow up with aspirations of becoming The Grief Guru. Although, after experiencing divorce, bankruptcy, and cancer twice she felt like she had learned a thing or two about overcoming adversity. For months grief swept her out to sea and threatened to take her under once and for all.
After a chance meeting that would change her life, she decided she would discover the tools and skills needed to navigate grief and get back to a happy and productive life. She set her heart and mind to that task by reading, studying, praying, and through good old trial and error.
She discovered a system that worked, because just a year and a half after her mother died, her 20 year old son died of an accidental drug overdose. Grief came in like a flood but this time she was prepared! She was able to navigate grief so much more productively and noticed the night and day difference in her grieving process. She knew she couldn’t keep this information to herself! Kelli now teaches others to use her developed Grief Relief process to navigate whatever hard season they are facing. She teaches others to move forward on purpose, in purpose and design the life they truly love.
