The Peace Room | Ascension 2014 Recap – Backstage! [part 1 of 2]
Ahhh Backstage. The lights, the glamour of it all. If I told you it was uber glamorous um…no. It’s a mess, it’s hectic, but it’s the product of all your hard work, finally coming together to be exposed to the public eye. Maybe I’m being a bit bias, but I loooved my collection I really thought the clothing was beautiful, feminine and of course Eco-Chic!
A Fashion Runway show backstage? It’s not glam, until you see it on the Runway.
This was my second Runway Show that I had the pleasure of being a part of and, as all things, it was challenging. I admit, I almost lost my cool but I learned great, amazing valuable, lessons.
The great thing about experience is that you learn to have a tougher skin and be in more control of your emotions. At least, that was my take on it all.
For some reason, before we were lined up on the Runway (I believe I was the 3rd Designer), after hair and makeup was getting done (ladies!) we had a room all to ourselves and it was magical, funny and Great. These model’s are the beez kneez! We were all so excited filled with so much…Joy and a peace that could only come from God. Our “backstage” room was referred to as the ‘Peace Room‘. That my friends was all of God’s doing!
You can’t plan moments like that, and that by far was such a compliment.
