Hola Love!
Recently I had the amazing pleasure of giving myself a much needed makeover!
It was incredible! I’d recommend anyone wanting a positive change to just go ahead and makeover your life honey!
When it came to my wardrobe I seriously needed to upgrade. I was stuck in a wardrobe coma and it was time to wake up!
As I’ve grown older and matured, I’ve learned a few valuable lessons.
One of the most valuable Lessons a woman, a person, can learn is, when you invest in yourself, you invest in everything and everyone around you.
So if you’re looking for a place to start, when building a killer wardrobe, this post is for you Love.
When building a foundation you need to start from a new place, where you want something you can really build upon.
Perhaps you’d like something you can rock a tank top and still look sleek in or just a sweater and compliment it with just a bit more?
Your Journey should begin with the following in mind…
[dropcap style=" "]1.[/dropcap] Understand what type of wardrobe you are creating.
For example, If you need a wardrobe that’s flexible, one that you can easily put a chic jacket on & go out on meetings or just chill with friends & loved ones while out on the town. You need transitional pieces. Pieces that can amp up a tank top or just bring in a wow factor because of it’s cut, style or the way it hangs on the body.
Thus what you may need is TEXTURE!
For example, The way I brought texture in was through an amazing collection of summer jackets that were light and airy and still gave me that fashionable persona.
[dropcap style=" "]2.[/dropcap] Work From a Place of LOVE!
DO NOT buy a single piece from this day forward that you are not ABSOLUTELY in LOVE with.
Let me tell you Honey! If you are buying “get by” pieces decide now, that any piece that is to hang in that lovely closet of yours is not going to be, “hmmm I like it…but I’m still unsure but it maybe ok. It’d look good with BLANK piece”.
This type of mentality is going to give you items that are either hit or misses. Either you’re going to absolutely LOVE the piece on you and in your closet or you’re A. Never going to wear it B. Allow the washer and dryer to destroy it.
Love, I find it so liberating when we have the discipline to not look at the price tag, but allow the choice to be from a place of LOVE not from a place of “that’s a great deal!”
The “that’s a great deal!” should be a bonus on top of getting something you absolutely ADORE, not the reason you actually buy it.
[dropcap style=" "]3.[/dropcap] JEWELRY, Shoes & Perfume.
We often forget the little things in life and Love, you mustin forget that a good foundation is build-able and that includes a few earrings, a few statement necklaces, a shoe collection of varying heights and a great perfume to just amp your spirits. Don’t mistake what a bit of shine or a great scent can have on the senses.
[dropcap style=" "]4[/dropcap] CONFIDENCE
This hits on point number 2. When you work from a place of LOVE, this automatically follows suit.
I hope you love your new Foundation Wardrobe as you build it from the right place.
Where do you usually start when you build your wardrobe?
xoxo, Ciao!
