Latin Festival Raleigh North Carolina (8) Latin Festival Raleigh North Carolina (9)Hello Love,

How was your past weekend!? Franklin, Emanuel, and our family had a blast at this year’s Latin Festival in Downtown Raleigh, Nc.

I was so thankful that my Mom came back from her trip to Jarrabacoa, DR with my Dad, right on time for us to rock some awesome swag. Thanks Parentals for these awesome DR hats! They also got me a Pilon!

IF you EVER have the opportunity to go to a Dominican Restaurant, please for the love of all that is scrumptious order the MO-FON-GO (order the Chi-cha-ron mofongo). You will thank me later.

Some of you maybe wondering why we were at the Latin Festival? Well, Franklin and his family are from Venezuela and although I was born in New York, New York (City sooo good they named it twice) the majority of my family is from Dominican Republic. Yes, we speak Spanish, I speak Spanglish (Spanish-English dialect).

So of course it’s always nice to get in touch with our Latin roots! ♥

We had a great time and although I couldn’t get a capture of the dancers due to rain, spending time with family is always a priority in my book. Plus eating some delish food!

What is your favorite Latin dish?

xoxo

P.S. National Hispanic Heritage Month is the period from September 15 to October 15!  Soooo, get up, get out and get your salsa on!
