I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:27

Hello Lovely,

I am so excited to write to you today about this project and my insight within the construction and making of it. Check out Perseverance I & Perseverance II.

Have you ever been in an emotional battle to just keep your cool or to keep your joy? When I embarked on this project I had high hopes. Then, towards the middle of it, it became extremely difficult and I could hardly see my way through but now…

Now I’m OVER JOYED, thrilled that it is finally finished and thankful beyond what you can imagine.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

I had to show you all how my baby boy has mamities ♥

I had to show you all how my baby boy has mamities (very attached to mama) ♥ He is so adorable! I love him so much, I know this is just a stage and I take these moments as chances to cover him with kisses!

I’ve made plenty of things over the years but honestly, I know it looks pretty simple but it has been one of the most difficult projects I’ve ever embarked upon. That says a lot, not only was it difficult such as the measurements and piecing it together it was also emotionally difficult.

Isn’t that with any project we take on in life? Whether it’s buying a house, getting married or starting a family. We begin excited, we begin with energy and in the middle of it we realize the actual work that needs to take place.

The sacrifice that it warrants or the amount of time it actually needs. I think we’ve been fooled by society that everything should be handed to us on a platter…with french fries or onion fries, those are yummy too.

Oh and fast. Let’s not forget fast! Lord forbid we can’t take it home right now! Or when we have to pull up to the dreaded curb! Just a little to wait for our order. “No chic-fil-a worker person, I do not want to pull up, can you please give it to me now, I was here first!” ^_^ You get my point.

I under estimated the pieces that needed to be cut, the measurements that needed to be measured ( once, twice sometimes quadruple) the actual time that each stitch took. I was fooled my friends…by my own self.

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7

I’ve been, well trying to read the book of proverbs. It’s one of my favorite books to read when I’m in a bind. It really shows you that it’s not more time, nor more money that we really need it’s, WISDOM.

Solomon answered God, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

11 God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.” 2 Chronicles 1:8-12

This is one of my favorite bible stories. I’ve always awed at the fact of how Solomon received everything with just asking for that one thing.

How about Love, what if…

…what if all those “thorns” you are wanting to be taken from you, all those things that seem to make the journey that much more difficult, that much more complex can no longer bother you if you had perhaps the right mindset? The right resources or….

Perseverance iii Pampera and Bedsheet (17)

Able to wisely deal with each circumstance in your life?

You see, I’m convinced that it’s our outlook in life that mostly governs the way we feel or the way that “life” may impact or affect us.

Knowing that God makes straight our path, asking for the right things may be the key to changing our perspective, rolling our sleeves up and getting to work…wisely. (I know what you’re thinking “Precisely dear Watson” or maybe that was just me?)

Perseverance iii Pampera and Bedsheet (19)

Not FASTER, having “more” resources nor time. It’s about our mindset. Are you going about with your dealings wisely? Do you understand the levity and the effort that is needed to accomplish your goal?

Are you steadfast? Immovable or do you easily crumble with each opposition?

I learned a long time ago that not every project goes according to plan. I’d make a mistake and ball my little eyes out.

You see, when I work, I don’t have extra fabric for the project, or extra resources or extra time, usually. I have what I have and I have to delegate and consider the task wisely.

So now, when I make a mistake, I learned that getting emotional is a waste of time, oh not only a waste of time but embarrassing because I end up crying to my lovely hubby…calming down and then finding a solution.

Laughing that oh yea..I was knee deep in tears but hey I figured it out and it panned out better than before.

Those moments…those moments of frustration, of balling my eyes out. I treasure those moments. YES, I do, because those were the moments that I learned that a mistake is not the end of the world. Sometimes you need time to contemplate the next step instead of rushing to fix the problem. And crying only makes you feel worse and takes up your time to actually sit and calmly think on what is the next move.

OR sit and calmly chill, relax so you can look at it from different eyes.

What ever point you are in within your project understand that mistakes happen, sometimes a wrench get’s thrown in the mix.

Instead of freaking out, or believing the worst. Why not calmly contemplate, maybe relax and then think about what’s your next move? Remembering the times that God has graciously moved you past project to project. That He has given you everything you need all you have to do is ask.

Perseverance iii Pampera and Bedsheet (16)

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

I know how you feel Love, really I do. I’ve known fear, anxiety and depression. But…God loves big But’s…. and He cannot lie.

Haha, I heard a preacher say it once! xoxo

Seriously though, just trusting in God…Knowing that His GRACE is sufficient. Giving it your all by doing all things with Love, believing the best no matter what and not being a pendejo (Translate it ), but dealing wisely asking God for that wisdom and waiting on HIM.

Let me tell you my friend, if you’d see me right now you’ll understand that I have tears of joy whelming up in my eyes, because God is just soooo Good!

Perseverance iii Pampera and Bedsheet (25)

Right now, just take the time to pray to Him and ask Him for wisdom, for what ever you are going through.

Understanding that Frustration, Exhaustion, Anger, nor Revenge is wise. Notice they spell the word FEAR.

I did that on purpose. All the cool people are doing it now adays. ♥

Don’t allow what’s in-front of you to instill FEAR, but govern all things with Love & Wisdom.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; ifthere is knowledge, it will be done away. 13 Corinthians

Staying in a place of Love & Wisdom will help you keep your cool & peace.

Treat everyone well. Ask yourself before making a decision, am I making this decision out of fear or love? Intentions are important and they make a difference in our lives.

What are your intentions?

with Love,

xoxo

P.S. La Suegra (My mother-in-law, which everyone thinks she’s my mom when we go out and that my mom is Franklin’s mom, it’s too funny!) Helped me with this GORGEOUS baby’s bed-sheet she made! Sometimes we need a little help from our friends, in my case, family! ♥ Be blessed. I’ll be talking about it next week if not sooner! Ciao!
