He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.” Daniel 3:25
Hello Love!
How are you doing on this gorgeous day!?
My mother-in-law is such a sweet heart and has a great heart. I’m so thankful to have amazing people in my life, that believe in my talents and help me when I need help.
While I was in the process of delegating this task, the task of creating the crib sheet, it really put into persepective that sometimes we can’t do things alone, and sometimes we need a little help…
We may have all the necessary equipment…
Yet, sometimes…we need an extra hand. In my case, I needed the push that came from a very supportive mother-in-law. She finished and finessed this crib sheet like it’s nobody’s business! All I did was take the measurements.
Sometimes, God doesn’t need for us to do anything extravagant. Sometimes the “extravagant” is in the believing.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
God is about relationships. There is strength in relationships and that much more strength available to us when we have a relationship with Almighty God. That’s what Jesus has done for us.
Have you read the Story in Daniel where it talks about these 3 men, who refused to bow down to an image, they get trialed and sent to burn in a furnace?
Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?”
16Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver usc from Your Majesty’s hand. 18But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Daniel 3:15-18
Seriously, what an Amazing story!
During this project as I was set at ease when my mother in law offered to help me. I prayed to God and asked for a Word over this project and I kept thinking about Jesus and how He offers friendship. He offers to help us in the midst of our trials, battles and worries. God gave me the story of Daniel 3. (Please read this chapter on your own time and allow God to give you revelation).
I also thought of how, God equips us.
There’s something to be said to have such integrity when confronted with such circumstance and to stand firm regardless of what awaited them.
Love, never forget that God is writing your story….He is Alpha and Omega and HE has the final say!
Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 20and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. 22The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, 23and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.
I’ve learned, that no matter what the situation may look like, nor what you think is reality, God, Jesus transcends time and space in all circumstances. There is no limit to what the Creator can do…let’s always remember that He is Holy.
25He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”26 Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!”
So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, 27and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.
This story is an example of God’s faithfulness. Perhaps what HE can do through you would be the result of your obedience and steadfastness, your trust and faith?
If that convicts you I’m sorry, but I’m not sorry. It’s something I’ve been wrestling with as I encounter my own struggles, temptations and so forth. How “immovable” will I be and How much trust will I have on God when my time comes to face the furnace of life’s trials?
I pray and I hope you totally get what I’m saying. I am by no means saying that it’s by works, but let’s not forget that the Bible says…
It is by grace through faith that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8)…
I hope that you become like these gentlemen, who walked with a friend through the fire (No the scriptures doesn’t say it’s Jesus but I imagine it to be Him, there with them.). Would you walk through the fire with Jesus? Walk and do the impossible for Jesus?
Oh what a friend we have in Jesus.
You may be surprised on just how faithful God is…in the midst of your trials.
xoxo,
