Day 13: What’s done in secret is blessed in public

Hello Love,

Today I want to take you to a certain part of David’s life. The part before he became king.
David was the youngest of all his brothers. He was the one who tended to his father’s flock while his older brothers were in the front lines.
The part we are going to focus on is when his father sends him to deliver food for his brothers.
There David sees Goliath, and he weighs the pros and cons of challenging Goliath despite his stature or age. David was young, as the bible points out.
When he’s taken to Saul, the king in that moment in time, David says something that should really resonate with you.

“Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 1 Samuel 17:36

David says this in context to confronting Goliath.
How many of you know that before God sets you high, he sees what you do in your humble state?
You’re believing for bigger things in your life but I challenge you, how are you confronting your current lions and bears?
Before David set out to fight Goliath, God had already tested his heart and faith during the time where he was alone shepherding and tending to his father’s flock.

What stage are you right now and what is God, our heavenly father, asking you to tend to?

It may seem small and tedious but what are you in charge of?

Is it your home? Your work or perhaps your relationships?

When something comes to threaten the sanctity of your endeavors, how are you responding?

“The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”

Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you.” 1 Samuel 17:37

Notice how David acknowledges and gives credit to God. His faith is strengthened by the past experiences he’s had during those times in secret, when God came through for him.

Those GOD moments.

Are you taking note of them?

When you’ve taken care of what God has given you there is no doubt into where you are meant to go and the challenges you are meant to face.

You WILL have the faith to battle your Goliath.

Are you willing?
