Day 23: Being Committed

Hello Love,

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; Psalm 63:1

Today, we are going to dig into the power of commitment. One of the traits that separate the mediocre from the great, it is commitment.

Are you committed?

It’s one of the reason’s why marriage is so powerful, it’s one of the reasons why building a relationship with Christ will keep you.
When my husband and I decided to be not only committed to each other but to Christ as well, that’s when our lives changed. That was when we truly allowed ourselves to be free in love and free to believe for great things in our lives.

Are you committed?

It’s a question I am asking you because this journey is not for those who are double-minded, but those who are firm.

Jesus speaks about this in one of his parables,

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27

Whenever we put our trust in God that’s when we start building our house on the Rock. That’s where you start building your faith. Doubt, wavering will wash away whatever you are building a house built on the sand.

Building a strong foundation starts with a commitment.

When Jesus changed Simon’s name to Peter meaning Rock, it was because He was building something inside of Peter.

What is God building inside of you?

Your thoughts are the foundation of your house. When the time comes, when the wind blows and the rain hits against your house how strong will your commitment be?

Your thoughts allow negativity to fester or positivity and abundance to flourish. You can focus on the impossible, or the God of the impossible!
